Core Requirements
- 7+ years in software or infrastructure engineering
- 5+ years with Apache Kafka and/or Confluent Platform
- Experience in production environments
- Strong Python programming skills
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools
Responsibilities
- Design and operate Confluent Kafka clusters
- Improve Kafka platform's stability and performance
- Develop internal APIs for self-service Kafka access
- Lead root-cause analysis for incidents
- Define standards for Kafka usage across the organization
- Implement monitoring and alerting for Kafka environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams for best practices
